Are they avalible yet . I dont want to buy a fake one .

I've been in touch with Bart @ Bigboy's Hobbies, and he's supposed to be placing a large order very soon.

I just got my new "Digger" coil (serial # 6) from Gerry's detectors in Boise, Idaho. I think that he has a few more in stock. I was a little disappointed to find out that the coil is only water resistant and not water proof ( like the 6" HF coil is) but it sure likes silver. I cannot use it out in the lake to hunt old silver. I had to use my old concentric coil out in the water.

I thought the coilteck add says its completly water proof . in that case better go with the 7.5KHZ see that one thing lost a sale , they should think of that when making them. lots of people hunt water . who is in charge or manufacturing , a bean counter ?

The 3kHz 15" All-Terrain coil IS waterproof, as is the 15" 18.75kHz All-Terrain and the existing 15" 7.5kHz.

I don't know why they did not make the 6" Digger low freq coil water proof. If they had epoxy filled it, I am sure it would have been water proof.

Gunnar,
October 29th, 2012 they went on sale worldwide. Have no fear - it won't be long before the dealers here on findmall have them in stock.

As far as the coils:

the 6" digger coil is water resistant only where as the ALL three frequency ( 3kHz, 7.5kHz & 18.75kHz) 15" Coiltek coils are waterproof.

We are the only global after market manufacturer of fully approved Minelab X-TERRA coils utilising the VFLEX technology. This fully waterproof coil has excellent depth capabilities, pinpointing easily with the tip of the coil or using the pinpoint function on the detector. The 15" X-TERRA has a new design and is available in all 3 frequencies

One small correction Jim.
The XT-30 and 305 are not capable of running 3kHz. I just want it clear for anyone reading this, so that there is no misunderstanding.

Mr. Longhair, not a problem- however that statement was taken from Coiltek's website. You are correct as I have read this elsewhere. I just did a quick copy and paste from their website. Coiltek will need to correct the information. Update - Still time to edit - . It is a little confusing up at the top of their page but down at the bottom of the page they explain what coils are compatible with each x-terra detector.

Yes, I know. Coiltek has been informed that it is confusing/unclear. And it is hoped that they will clarify/correct it in the near future.

thanks Jim you are good at presenting things so I can understand them , Now i get it

You are welcome bro - HH - Jim
