I can't help with the wiring, but what you are looking for is called a 6 pin microphone connector. I just bought a half dozen of them the other day on Ebay for $9.20 shipped (Item number 270504877283). They're coming from Hong Kong, but there are U.S based sellers on Ebay with them for slightly more. Radio Shack would also be a good source, but last time I checked my local store they did not stock the 6 pin model, and were asking $7 a piece for the others.

Search "Re: Does anyone have a wire SCHEMATIC for the connector on an S-12 coil?'' I put in over a year ago in the soveriegn forum.sam in ms

That's a CBC4 standard 4 pin Ham/CB microphone connector. You can buy them from BuxComm Corp. for $2.95. Here's a link:

In my first reply, that part number I gave was for the 4 pin connector shown in the photo. If you have a Sovereign, then it has the 6 pin connector as someone else mentioned. That part number would be CBC6 and you can also get that from BuxComm Corp.
