Who is the button expert?

Need help with these two. One appears as a small one piece Navy made out of pewter.. Possibly British? Shank is part of the button and in raised letters I can make out FINE..

The other one is a one piece with what appears to be a raised 1 , on it but it is off center?

Any help?
Thanks

Well, no expert by any means! The first button seems to be British Navy, like you said. I THINK it dates between 1820-1850, based on the backmark. They used back marks like "extra fine", "extra gilt", "super rich" etc during that period. The second button...not sure...I take a look and check back in a bit
