I started detecting at the end of June 2010 and have got 10 hotwheels in my little collection. I believe one is a made in bla bla . but its till a little car and goes with my collection. Some of you guys and gals that have been detecting for years and years must have found hundreds of little cars/trucks etc. any of you have a massive collection and how many in the collection? I only keep the ones that are whole (all wheels etc.) love to see some pics. My Ace250 is sick and I had to use my back up detector yesterday and today and I am bored so lets talk collections!:smoke:

I love those little cars, trucks . I have only dug 3 in 5 months , but I have only been detecting for 5 months But I bet there is some one out there who has over a thousand.

I've found a good number over the years and what I do with those that are in decent condition is every couple of years or so donate them to homes and shelters for women with children. Such places are thrilled to get any kind of toys for the kids to play with. HH jim tn

Me and my Dad have found many of the years...I like the old fashioned metal ones the best as they are the old fashioned ones.

I have several jars full. Have never counted them and not sure where they all are. Got quite a few metal ones.

I started detecting last spring and found 27 cars, trucks, motorcycles, and one airplane. I gave a few to the little boys next door and a couple to two kids at the park where I found them but hadn't thought too much about what to do with the rest. You've given me some good ideas.

I've got loads of them but most of them are in poor condition. I even gave some away
awhile back to this little kid in the building. I'll have to count the remaining ones and see how many
I got. You starting a used car lot?

I bet I found a couple dozen matchbox cars this summer. But they are in such lousy condition that I would'nt give them to my worst enemy. And I have at least two of the old tootsie toys. I like to tell people that all of my relic finds are purely by accident.

All you guys that give them to kids, well that is pretty neat. I figured once I have 50 I'll divide them between all the totlots i have hunted just leave them there for the kids to find and play with. I have found a few toys on the surface that I have tossed into totlots. no picks to show guys/gals?

Hubby & I started saving these little cars we found on hunts about 8 1/2 yrs ago & felt we had a good hunt if we recovered a lost vehicle. The most we ever found in one day was 13 (found in the sand). I'd even keep parts of the Tootsie, Hot Wheels, Matchbox-and started a miniature body repair and paint shop, it's been a lot of fun for me fixing them up. We kept the really old ones_jeeps, airplanes and other metal ones separate-no repair. Now with over 400 whole vehicles-the grandsons really think it is something. I have them all on display in our shop/garage. Even my sister-in-law would rather look over the vehicles than most of our other finds. God Bless, Patsy

I gave 50 of my best away to a kid that broke both his leg and couldn't leave the house for 6 months, and I still have a over 50 left, playgrounds and beach, may have 5 to 10 each hunt, this is over ten years of hunting
