Who else Thinks FTP is pulling a Fast ONE???

Anyone else thinkthat FTP is useinf the same PCB or close to it in all their new products like Titan 3300XD,Discovery 3300,Fisher F70,F75,Teknetics T2????? Anyone think that they are useinf the same guts and just repackageing them differently and maybe useing some different firm ware? They are all simalar is their feature lists, simalar in their performance, simalar intheir weakness's and simalar in their problems! I would laugh so hard to find out that a guy with a $1000 F75 or T2 could have gotten close to the same componets in the $300 Titan 3300XD!!!LOL Even if they are not 100% the same youc an play all kinds of game with a PCB between useing upgraded componets in one version, adding or deleteing coponets, or changeing the firm ware and you basicly get a completely different machine for next to no additonal cost so your R&D is spread out over the product line. The best part is that you make signifacantly more on each high end name branded device! You know the dealerships would never tell you even if it was true and could be proven because they would lose their customers left and right! Just something to think about though!

Oh I did some checking and the T2,F70 and F75 all us 13Khz for their transmit. The Titan 3000XD use's 6.8 I think it is and one of the lower F2,F4 or F5 models is something like 5.8 Khz or somethign like that... The lower end F models did not list their freq. of operation. A lot of the advertiseing for the F70,F75,T2 and the others use the same wording and the same buzz words even the word or function Ground Grab is used across the models. So at this point I am thinking that the F70,F75,T2 are for all practical purpose's the same machine. The lower F models and the Titan 3000 XD are probably kissing cousins. I am also guessing that their is a lot of design shareing going on. I can not believe no one comented on this!

I know for certain that White's used the same boards in their older Classic series, and just added different components to the boards for different models...I would imagine to keep costs down, that FTP does the same thing...I am sure that all the Pioneer series used the same board, and that the Quick Draw and Sharp Shooter use the same board...It is just marketing 101...keep your costs low by keeping your productions simple....
