Who do I contact for warranty service in the US?

JEF

I was out detecting at a local school yesterday, and I noticed that my 5.5 x 10 coil kept drooping down and would not stay level. I went to tighten the nut, and I saw that both the ears on the coil had broken and the coil was just barely hanging on by the front part of the ears. I touched the coil and it just fell off of the rod. I had only used that coil for about 4 or 5 hours. Can anyone tell me who to contact for warranty service in the USA? I looked in the manual and on the Makro website, but I could not find anything. I am sure that Makro will replace it, since I had just purchased it on Nov. 6 of this year.

Here is the USA dist of the Macro, or contact the dealer you got it from.

DETECTOR ELECTRONICS CORP.

Thanks.

Does Detector Electronics do the repairs or do you have to send a broken machine back to Makro? I've got a Racer that won't turn off.

The typical repair sequence is that you send a photo or video that demonstrates the
problem and they send you a replacement part. I've done this directly with the rep
in Turkey (Cavit Arslan), but I think the process with Detector Electronics is the same.

His email is cavit@makrodetector.com

I've just emailed him a note explaining the problem with an attached photo or two.
For your problem, you might need a video that shows the machine staying on even
when you turn it off.

Good luck.

This place does it all. And stays in the U.S.A. GS

I called Detector Electronics Corp. and explained what happened with my coil. He gave me a return authorization number and said that as soon as they received the broken coil they would send me a new one with the new heavier duty ears. He said that they had a problem with the ears breaking on the earlier coils.

I sent an email to address that Rick(ND) posted. They got back with me the same day and after a short message of the problem I was having with my Racer they contacted me the next day letting me know that I would be taken care of.
