at Tesoro?? Who's the lead engineer? Who's in charge of the Cazador design and developement... or are they farming this out ?? Just curious...we all know that Whites, Garrett, and Fisher/Bounty Hunter, have very agressive and strong design teams...........but who's got this task at Tesoro??? Who must be a popular guy!!! Anyone know who it is?

Vince Gifford:thumbup:

Those design teams need to step it up a notch or two, because I still prefer swinging a Tesoro.:detecting: Maybe they'll catch up one day.

A lot of idiots voted for 'hope and change' and all they got was a piece of crap.:)

It is Vince Gifford--and he is also sole owner of the company at this point in time as I understand it.

Awww forget it!

For those of you that don't know, AtomicScott is a Tesoro hater. He had a Vaquero and it didn't work out for him. Same with a Compadre. To this day he is still crying in his Wheaties and does nothing but come on Tesoro forums and bash Tesoro products and ridicule the users.

He now swings what he considers a superior machine, a Xterra. Despite having such a superior detector, he still has time to bash Tesoro.

Just a heads up.

Actually, I really like the Compadre. Way better disc than the Vaquero and my FINDS proved it! I like to actually USE my detectors, not just talk about them. So is Ivan a "confirmed" hater yet? You and Terry need to have the discussion! Maybe Tesoro needs to try to lure back Dave Johnson as the engineer (google him Rainy)!

The Minelab users need to go over to the Minelab Forum to boost about their Minelab detectors.

I don't like Minelab detectors but I'm not going waste my time over in the Minelab Forum telling them about it.

Well said Tabman! Seriously AtomicScott, why do you just come over here to bash and stir things up? Grow up, I assume you over 18- act like it.

This is not the only forum he does this on.

I must say Atomicscott sure balances out Terry Soloman...lol[/quoteLol! I don't know whether to take that as a compliment or not! So, thanks...I guess?

Didn't mean anything either way really. I just know Terry Soloman and his "Tesoro is the best and if you don't agree you're foolish" crap is just as bad as someone saying something negative.

Well, there is no doubt that Tesoro really should try to go with a nice well thought out digital based detector design.Just for the sake of the digital design can hold your hunting programs,be able to more easily get multi tones. Not worry about bumping the controls and hunt for an hour with off settings. Digital has come a long way.I have used Tesoro detectors since 1989 and love them.Have dug deep Colonial Carolina coins and artifacts with just about every Tesoro detector made today. No volume control makes things difficult for me that would also be corrected by a well thought out digital based detector design. While doing it,at least make it water resistant. The hybrid digital analog models with screen display just do not seem very appealing to me that is now offered by Tesoro.
