I am just starting back detecting again,,haven't in the last? well since hurricane Ivan..Its been a lot of work,,i don't think it'll ever get back too pre-ivan..it started something as far as staying busy all the time..I figured i would start back with a new toy and the T2 comments really caught my eye,,something to work in trashy areas as most clean sites hace been hammered to death..Beleive it or not i started with a cz20 in 1994-95,,i had a radio shack 2000 for about 2 hours and found a engagement ring for a couple a p'cola beach, first hunt with'in 5 minutes and the detector crapped out after about 2 hours use,,took it back and went to a detector dealer and bought the cz20,,still have it and will never part with it..Have owned all the big dogs,cz-7 an xlt ,not very impresive if you ask me,,explorer s to heavy and hyped to much for me,etc...I have owned a few cheap bounty hunters over the years to as a detector to haul around with me so if i see an interesting site i could check it out,,have found them to be reliable and very good detectors,,never could understand all the bad rap,,they say you get what you pay for but have felt bounty hunter gives a little more,,any way i'm back,, waynebo

Welcome to the T2 forum waynebo. If you should purchase a T2 you will most likely not want to hunt with anything else. I've had a Minelab Explorer XS for about 9 years and Tesoro Vaquero for about 3 years and haven't used either one since I got the T2. The T2 is really and enjoyable detector to use. You can hunt all day and not get tired, except for digging. You can hunt for weeks and weeks and the batt. stays full. When I go out I don't even think about batt. With my Minelab I could hunt maybe a good day and half before I had to recharge the batt. but not with the T2, it keeps going like the energizer bunny. It recovers so fast that you don't miss a thing. Any way welcome back to detecting.
