Whites years

Is there a place or can anyone tell me the age of a 3900/D I picked one up on the cheep and what a joy to use. Little heavy, but fun :)

What I would like to know is, which is the last analog detector built by Whites. And what other models were around it.

I do not know of any reference material that lists the ages of Whites models. Some of the seasoned detectorists occasionally post release dates for some models. Running some site searches might get the info you want.

I believe the last completely analog detector built by Whites was the XL Pro, discontinued in 2005. Some say it was the best analog detector ever produced. The IDX Pro was discontinued at about the same time.

Thanks Bob,

Thats what I was looking for. I wonder if I contacted White's if They would give me a spread sheet of the years, I think it would be handy to have.

The 3900 Dx Pro was early 1987 and the 3900 D/Pro was made in the later part of 1989 and the 3900 Pro plus, early 1991.
