The Quantum series were, umm, let me say "interesting" models. I never took to them from the get go for most of my needs. I used a couple of prototypes and could tell what some strengths were, for some people, but I didn't like their kind of quirky sweep speed requirement. They could get touchy, especially in more mineralized ground environments. Except for the Vibra-Probe pin-pointer, it sounds like you have a very good set-up.
