whites XLT coil 3.5 or the 5.3

Looking for advice on the Whites blackmax or bullseye 5.3 or the bullseye 3.5, which one is a better choice to use? Thanks

The two coils you mention are both excellent coils for coin hunters. I like the stock 950 for wide open places. But probably use the 5.3 for 90% of my yard/park hunting. However, I am not shy about hooking up the 350 Snooper for those real trashy sites. In my moderately mineralized soil, I can still get 7 - 8 inches on coins with the 5.3. More like 4 - 5 inches with the 350, but the separation is outstanding. If you have the opportunity to buy the 350 Snooper, you should jump on it. They are no longer being made and are becoming harder to find all the time. They still make the 5.3 coils and will probably continue to do so as long as the XLT is being produced. With that said, if you are only going to get one coil at this time, you will likely get more use out of the 5.3. HH Randy
