Whites TRX vs Garrett carrot

I've been using the Garrett carrot for over a year now. Was wondering if anyone has used both the TRX and Pro Pointer AT? What's your opinion of them? Which S better to you?

Thanks Mackdog

Cannot help with any opinion on the Whites probe, but for me its the Carrett all the way, even have the original black one as a backup, the Carrett must be the most popular pinpointer on the planet by far, this must surely tell you something !! well it does me anyway that its pretty reliable and robust on the whole and no probe is perfect but the orange thing ticks all my boxes for sure.

The TRX is deeper and that, in my opinion, is the only plus. I found it much hared to pinpoint targets with the TRX than the Garrett. For me, the Garrett saves me much more time than the TRX did.

It really depends on what you want it to do and what you like the best ! For coins and relics the TRX gives me tip only detection in the hole pinpointing the target at the tip. The Garrett's go off when the target is in the side of the hole, not telling the direct pinpoint of the target because the complete Garrett shaft detects metal. Now if at times you prospect for natural gold , the TRX will sound off on very small gold pinpointing the target ,where as the Garrett's will be silent to very small gold unable to locate small gold.
