whites treasuremaster metal detector

Does anyone have the whites treasuremaster metal detector, I have one and it maybe defective. I live in georgia with mineralization soil. I having problem finding coins with the unit, I can go back over the same area with another
brand detector and picks up coins I missed with the whites treasuremaster. Doesn't seem to ID correctly, misses coins that are close to surface. My question is do you think I should send it into White's Electronics for repair? I bought this one brand new for $180.00 just to see what it was like.

Hi coinhunter 2, I would call Whites, they are very nice people, and ask what they think. I know some of the first Treasure Masters had trouble.
