Whites TM 808

Kevin Heath

New member
Hi all, new to this forum, what an interesting site !! Just picked up a TM 808 to use for looking for WW2 aircraft crash sites in the Orkney Islands off the North coast of Scotland see my site at www.crashsiteorkney.com

Has anyone on here used a TM 808 on aircraft? How deep will it pick up say an engine block ??

thanks

Kevin

HI Kevin,
I would be suprised if it could not detect an light aircraft engine at 20 feet.
A lot depends on the ground mineralisation.

Hi Adrian a lot of peaty ground on the hills where the aircraft crashed. Hope to look for Reg Pauleys Spitfire and the Spitfire at Skelday Hill first so fingers crossed. Aircraft crashes are new to me, its normally shipwrecks and U Boats I look for ! David Earl who helped start ARGOS has been aircraft hunting for many years and written a few books on the subject but he has always used a standard detector so I hope this will add new scope to the searches. We have the Arc Geo to add to it as well so I will let you know the results on here! Thanks for the interest Adrian

all the best

Kevin
