White's: The Real Story

As a White's Dealer, I am very pleased with support from the factory level to my distributor... I can pick up the phone and talk to anyone I wish and get a good civilized answer. When I have a detector that I have to send back, they pay for it and send me another. Too, I get numerous leads every month and they spend a high percentage of what they make, putting it back into advertising. The Spring Promo is costing them a lot too...promoting it and then giving $100-$200 coupons with their top-end machines and then an extra $50 off on the Prizm line. If every company in the US ran it business like White's did, there would be very little import business... Am I writing this for some motive...NO..I sell detectors to have a fun time/I spent 57 years of my life without selling them. Just stating the facts..Whites is one of the many good detector companys and at the costs of today's
labor, parts, marketing, etc.... I think they all are priced appropiately....Sometimes we get just a little too serious with what we expect..we need to remember, this is a hobby so we can relax, not one that is going to cause trouble among friends and cause us to have a stroke from our blood pressure being so high. Best to all you gentlemen, truly Gary has a great forum here...Thanks Richardntn

I FOR ONE AGREE WITH YOU 110 PERCENT.
I LOVE TO DETECT AND SOMETIMES I COULD SPEND $60 TO FIND ONE SILVER DIME OR CLADS VALUE LESS THAN ONE $1 BUT THE FUN IS PRICELESS.

I have been using white detectors sense 1970 i used a white tr found A 1927 2/1/2 Gold coin with it. I have a white coinmaster 6000/di system 3 still hunt coins in the tr mode

as our first factory-produced detector. Through the thirty-eight years since that time, I have owned dozens (literally dozens) of different White's models. They have all served me well, have shown great build quality, and have been backed by one of the best manufacturers in the business. Today, we both own and use White's models.

I load up in the morning and will be off on a spring vacation detecting jaunt by noon. I'll have my excellent Troy Shadow X5 for all the hunting I like to do in the ghost towns and other sites when I prefer a non-metered model. I'll have my Minelab X-Terra 70 which, in my experienced opinion, is one of the finest "multi-purpose" models available today and has been serving me very well. But on this trip, as with almost every trip I have made through these many years,. I will also have a reliable, trusty, performing White's along in the form of my modified Classic IDX Pro. That's one unit that is ALWAYS carried in my rig!

I have had my problems afield through the years, to include with a couple of White's models, but I have ALWAYS had EXCELLENT and SPEEDY service from White's. Matter of fact, I have had service from them that was superior to any other manufacturer, regardless of what some others provide in their warranty coverage.

While I always use what works for me, and that might mean a different brand from time to time depending upon the applications, yet I will always have a favorite White's in my battery because they are solid, proven, and reliable.

Glad there are dealers like you, Richard TN, to provide product and service (even after the sale) to people who are getting started in this great hobby. I feel sorry for those who think they have done their homework and then buy cheap, or inferior, or poorly built detectors. They might find some 'stuff', but they aren't going to get the satisfaction they could with a reputable manufacturer.

Happy Hunting!

Monte

I can vouch for what Richardntn has said. I also have other brands of detectors that may work better in certain circumstances, but when it comes down to customer service and standing behind their product, White's and Richardntn are right there at the head of the class.

Thanks & HH,
Stirling, N5PIP
