General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Whites TDI Dual Field 7.5" Coil Cover

New member
Just moved from Bermuda to Georgia, GA so have replaced an under water detector for a new Whites Pulse Scan TDI with the 7.5" coil for nugget, and relic hunting.
Also brought two coil covers for protection of coils, the 12" coil cover fits great as i'd have expected from a good company as Whites, but the 7.5" cover looks like it belongs to another coil, if used it would gather dirt and dust on top of coil which besides being an annoyance emptying out wouldn't help detection if dirt got caught between coil, and cover.
Have inserted picture so you can see. Question is, as a main dealer ordered the wrong part, or does Whites not make a cover for this coil ?
Look forward to your replies, and getting out to test this detector after all i've read about it on this site.
 
Update on coil cover.
Interesting if you've brought a new TDI, and things with cover for coil do not seem quite right !!!
Contacted main distributor, by way of tel no.on whites web site, and was informed " Whites do not make any other covers for the Whites TDI Dual Field 7.5" coil than the one that was sent ".
After trying to explain to the lady the must be another type as i could not believe Whites would make a cover that seemed unsuitable for the coil, i was told " That's all they make, and if you've got a problem with whites products take it up with them. Where upon she offered to give me there no.
Not being very happy with the response i received i decided to take her up on the offer, and rang Whites factory direct where upon i was told they make two different types that would fit that model, and it seems i was sent the wrong one, then proceeded to give me the product no. 5014135-1 for the one i required.
After receiving the information i contacted my Whites main dealer here in the Atlanta area who as the distributors was uncertain about other coil covers, until i give him the prod no. when he then proceeded to order the cover for my coil.
All i can say after all that is that Whites the company are still good in my eyes, and the main agents here in the Atlanta area will try there best to get what your after, but the distributors need to be kept updated on all parts so as to inform the customers correctly, after all when a customer spends over $2000 on Whites products its nice to keep them on your good side. It can only be good for business.
