Whites TDI and ATX?

I went to Garretts website and watched the videos and it looks like the atx will
dance circles around the TDI. But having never used them I can't say.

I only ever used the TDI, that machine likes the gold. I found a men's 14K wedding band on the beach that we vacation at. I was wishing I had it this year. One of the residents was explaining to me about a large diamond that was lost on this beach. I'm confident that if it was on this beach that detector would find it! George

Plenty of info is available on the Prospecting and Metal Detecting Forums from people who use both.

The consensus as far as I can tell so far is The Atx only trumps the Tdi for its ability to go in the water. I reading both perform closely. But if you are not going to hunt the water the coil selection for the tdi is far better. But garrets new coil seems versatile but too big for me working the bedrock. A small elliptical DD say 5x10 would be a nice addition.
