Whites TDI 7.5" coil, anyone using this coil?

Hi Frank,

I use this coil a lot and prefer it most of the time for coin hunting. I haven't had that much time to do much gold hunting since the distance to the available gold fields is quite far, but I also preferred it when I was nugget hunting also. Here in CO, most of the areas where one can nugget hunt are too cold and/or buried under snow now.

Keep in mind there is some depth loss when one compares the 12" to the 7 1/2" but that is offset by ease of pinpointing and overall handling of the detector. The handling portion is not only weight related, but environment related. It is simply easier to maneuver a smaller coil in tight, brushy, or other not so ideal environments.

Also, coil size is also more of a personal preference when one thinks about it. So, deciding to get or use one is, again, is a personal preference in my opinion. I personally think it is worth the price and worth having if a person is planning on getting really serious with the TDI.
