Whites Surfmaster PI Pro Beaviour Poll

Hello!

I have a question for Whites Surfmaster PI Pro owners since I noticed a radical difference in detector performance between last summer and this winter. In the VERY SAME areas during summer I was not able to pass the Preset sensitivity setting without having instability and false signals. This winter I can almost turn the sensitivity to maximum with a very stable and quiet (and great) performance. Sea condition is definitely out of roule as I already sorted it out.

Question: Did you notice any difference in detector performance between summer and winter? Please specify temperature difference between the two seasons and also population difference (number of gsm phones around).

Thank you all
HH

Your right side knob - "Gain" knob - click it on and leave it right there - do not go to preset.

Then turn your left knob till you get a hum - I run with a louder than normal tone and go for the slightest fluctuations.

Using it this way you should get great depth and never any chatter (unless you are 10 feet from someone using a minelab).

I have been using PI Pro since they first came out and this way works the best for me - a few other guys out there have switched to my way too. Just make sure you run with a tone to get good depth. I have found gold rings down 2feet with this method.
