White's Surf PI Pro coils

Does anyone knoe the weight difference between the weighted and the non weighted coils?

You need the weighted coil for surf. It doesn't weigh too much and it helps keep it on bottom.they say you have to push the other one down.I have the weighted coil and you really can't tell it's weighted, it feels like a normal coil.

We just weighed them and the weighted loop is almost 11 ounces heavier. The advice that I give customers is this: If you think there is the possibility you are going to be in the surf at the waters edge, wading chest deep or diving get the weighted coil.

If you decided to get the non-weighted coil you could always attach a diving weight (approx 16oz) to the middle rod. Now if diving you'd have to leave the middle rod on instead of just using the s-rod and the lower fiber rod as the metal weight would be too close to the coil, which is why I generally suggest the weighted coil.

I hope this helps!
