If you don't already have it, make sure the gasket is orange and not black. The old black gaskets are prone to leakage.
 
Hi Steve: I have the PI Pro with the Anderson straight shaft. It is one of the deepest seeking detectors on the market. The detector itself does not have discrimination, but the sounds it makes lets you know what the target is sometimes, like the double blip is 99% of the time a hair pin or some other piece of Iron. Shallow cans also have there own sound. Once you learn the machine you can guess correctly what the target is, but that's true for any detector. You may dig more trash but a lot of times it pays off by finding heavy gold rings deeper than others can find.
