Whites Super 12

Got home Saturday and there was a Whites Super 12 on my porch. Clamped it to the MXT and went to the old farm house to try it out. Found a '44 quarter and a pin with "US." inscribed on it. It seems to me that the pin point is at the flat at the end of the mounting bracket. Is there anyone out there that has spent time using the Super 12 and can give me their opinion of how it worked in the field.

Chec,

I am still waiting for my Super 12 Coil, but will send you a field report when I get it. I ordered the Super 12 a few days after buying my MXT on June 22. Should be here any day now I hope. Does the Super 12 come with instructions on pinpointing and when/where is the best time to use it?

Go to the Whites Forum. There is a link through Treasurenet.com. There are some excellent reports about pinpointing with the 12". I have one but I haven't gotten it dirty yet. I was told that it seems that over 3" it pinpoints in the center and under 3" it pinpoints under the flat spot.
