Whites service center second to none...

[size=large]I recently sent in one of my XLT's because it wasn't working properly; this particular machine I've had for over 15 years, it is beat, dented and scratched. While I was sending it in I had a $250.00 D2 coil that wasn't working, and a $150.00 Whites Eclipse DD that the windings had come loose inside and were flopping around so I sent those in as well. I received them back today. The XLT has been repaired, no charge; both the D2 and Eclipse coils have been replaced with brand new ones, also no charge. This doesn't happen all the time, as Whites could not have a service center if it was done free. I think partly because my XLT was in their service shop for almost 2 months had something to do with the no charge on a fairly simple repair (having 6 other Whites detectors, I could limp by without it ) The D2 coil should have been replaced but the Eclipse coil was 10+ years old. Kenneth White is like the God Father ~ (say in an Italian gangster voice)~ "Don't worry about it, it's been taken care of, capisce?"
