the
qxt is a great machine, the battery thing is a mute point with me. pretty easy to set up, and run it wide open and set high tone to wanted zones, excellent relic machine and good in the trash, they do like the iron though. i had the Quantum XT for 2 yrs and sold it, bought my QXT Pro from poorman last spring, same machines. the only thing i wish they had was the numeric id. i get better depth than my dads new XLT which is a fast sweep unit, but you can swing the QXT pretty fast when running them wide open, i had spectrum last rear as well but liked the QXT better, just picked up more hits with it doing side by sides, the id was better and more stable on the spectrum though. like it was mentioned earlier QXT were released after the XLT excellent target sizing, audio harmonics, depth . These were #2 in Whites line at the time they came out, and I think whites just pushed the XLT line and didn't put to much into the QXT. mine is now up for sale on ebay, and saw a Quantum xt there as well. id expect to pay 300-350 for a nice used one. Good luck and thank you poorman for a nice machine and excellent service.
