whites prizm 2 metal detector

i am new to metal detecting. i purchased a white prizm 2 detector. i have found the newer coins but no older coins or any jewelry. wanting to know if white prizm 2 is ok for finding the older coins and jewelry?

Just what Brian said. My brother uses my Prizm II and he's found about $100 bucks since last August. I took him to one site and he pulled out about 20 some wheats and 5 silver dimes. Just keep looking at the old areas and you'll find the old stuff too.
