Whites Pi with a DD coil,

I first posted this on the Whites forum and Houndawgg noticed it and mentioned I should post on the beach forum, Nothing too fancy but something to think about as not all Pi's use DD coils especially a Whites pi....So you are looking at the first Whites pi fitted with a DD coil.

Something I put together a couple of nights ago, Simple mod using a Whites surf pi with an 11" DD coil and to my surprise the pi works great.

The 11" DD coil is an Eric Foster made coil from England, It's epoxy filled for waterproof purposes mainly for surf and such, Even inland for gold nugget hunting if one so desires.

The DD coil is designed for a much powerful Pi made by Eric foster which I do own, Later in the coming weeks ahead I'll eventually mount the 11" DD coil to my Eric foster pi on a permanent basics.

But for now, I thought it would be fun swinging a White's pi with a DD coil.

Thanks for looking,

It will be interesting to see if the unit with the DD coil accepts the ocean surf, From inland testing it appears to be operating great and so smooth but you know how it is when searching in ocean surf.

Ocean surf brings out the worst in most pi's :)
