Whites PI Pro

My hunting partner and i just both purchased Pi Pro's. Neither of us had used Pi's before and are noticing some crackling noise and the Threshold is more like a "pulsing" noise. Louder and the softer with some crackling noise the crackling gets worse as the gain gets higher. like it would with to much sensitivity going .But this is even before you get to the ( P) setting I would think it would be the same sound all the time But i never ran a PI before . Is this the way it should be?

Note we are not out in the water yet and we do not have them on at the same time And I'm not in side & I do have 13 years of hunting in the water but never with a PI.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tom,

It sounds like outside electrical interference, particularly as you get it on two machines. Have you tried a different area, preferable away from houses, factories etc.

I live out of town 10 miles. I tyred it in a # of spots . I think it just the way the are. I did take the 1st one back got a 2nd & its the same way and 2 other guys i know bought one to they are all the same way . But then they were all made the same week.to . But It hit just fine in my test spot the coins have been in the ground for 7 years now & down 8" -1 0" I did dig one up to make sure. So we will see. I just would like to know what they sound like for sure.
