I hunt with the PI PRO I love it in the water... I would not use one on the dry sand I would go with a detector that can disc out trash but in the water its killer... I use it now and then in wet sand but I personally prefer to water hunt only. Its a deep, light, well balanced and easy to use. I have over 170 rings in a little over a year gold/silver/junkers...

You know when you will go over big iron because it sounds like a drawn out (wow) and you can dig it or not.

If you're out in the water trash is not a big deal, hunt deep water troughs and score the gold :)

Hello,

it is my third year in the water with the PI Pro and I'm very happy with it. It is a little "nervous" and it takes some time to get used to it. I found a lot of jewerly with it along with tons of iron. I would never change it.
I made some mods to my Pi..

We have 6- three each of the water coils, and unweighted coils. The lighter one is great - belt mount it, and you can hunt for hours. It does give a false signal when salt water runs over the coil.. but, work the wet sand, and skim it along, it's great. We use the water machines to hunt in Hawaii. Below is a photo of our gold and platinum from two months there last year.
