whites new 120mm probe

I just received my new probe today. Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble hearing the high pitch tone. Works fine on vibrate mode but the speaker mode is useless. My previous one was blue in color and had a different speaker tone. JR
 
I just got one in which I sold one pinpointer and bought this one new..I tested it worked fine...have not had a chance to use it yet. Did you switch the little button by the battery from vibrate to sound? Otherwise it could also be a low battery..try another battery.
