Read the manual, view the video and then go to the forum and get the really good details and opinions of some real pro's and almost experts.(a expert is someone that can't learn anything else)Good Luck

Arkansas fats is 100% right. I found that the video is good to get started with the MXT. The video will help you find the the new coins within the first three inches of dirt. This forum will help you find the faint signals where the deep old coins hide. Read the posts and ask any questions, their are many experience detectorists on this forum. I wish one of them would make an advanced MXT video or write a book. I would buy one.
