Was hoping you could tell me if you think the MXT Pro is the best multifunction machine.
Talking comparable cost also.
MXT Pro offers:

[-]Prospecting Mode
Thinking of buying, recently rented a GMT.
Really like detecting. Just think a quality
Multifunction would be a smarter buy.

The MXT Pro is a very good detector for the money and welcome to the forums. We have a MXT forum in case you have not found it yet. There is a lot of very experienced users there with tons of good advise.

The 2 best in the same price range are MXT and AT pro. Which is best for you would depend on your hunting places and conditions.
 
I think its a good idea to check out several brands.

Some detectors are real heavy compared to others.
There are many good detectors that are light weight
and perhaps that may be something for you to also
consider.

Tersoro and Fisher also make good products.
