Whites MXT MAX 15" COIL?

Nope, I can't see me using one. It looks a bit too big for me and I wouldn't want to swing that huge thing for any amount of time. Curious to see if anyone has used it and to hear about it's depth. HH, Nancy

Tony, I'm trying to find out some information on the Max coil too. Hopefully someone will chime in soon. Good Luck.

There doesn't seem to be hardly any feedback, reviews, or even videos of the 15' Max coil in use. They say it can have a depth of up to 3 feet on larger targets. I would sure love to see or hear something on or concerning this search coil.

I would dig 3 feet down for an Artillery Shell, a box plate, or an Eagle Breast Plate or anything Confetrit'. What is left as far as CW Artifacts is sometimes deep. Maybe not quite 3 feet, but deeper than most standard coils can reach.

I have this coil and it is a real Bruiser weighing in at 1047 grams including the plug and lead,

Due to the weight you might want to add a small bag of lead shot under your arm rest to reduce the forward weight,

It does have a lot of power and it can see bits of Lead/Gold weighing in at about 0.02/0.03 grams and on larger targets it can see down real deep, This Coil is one you want to use if you know the rough location of said Item/s, This is not a coil for searching wide open areas due to the weight of it unless you add the extra weight under the armrest, It is a great coil and I am glad I have one but there are better options out there that weigh the same as the factory 10"DD and only loose about 1" to 1.5 inches doing an air test between the 15" and the option coil., so the Big 15" weighing in at 1047g and an option coil weighing in at 670g/674g +/-. But seeing as the MXT Max is a concentric and the replacement is a DD the in ground performance would favour the DD as the ground hots up.along with the fact that the optional coil even has better balance than the factory 10"DD yet weighs the same,

hope this helps.

Sweeper60, Thanks for the input and the review on the 15' Max search coil. Very helpful information. I do have the 13' Ultimate DD coil, and I believe I will work with it a little bit more. I know that it is a lot lighter than the 15' Max. I also have the Whites 10'DD coil and really like this coil. Thanks again for your help and review concerning these coils.

My pleasure, You might want to try the Detech 14x10 Excellerator EQ2 Coil because it weighs the same as the factory 10" and has better balance, and it fits in to tighter places than the 13" Coil and they are also pretty cheap too, When you turn up the power the 14x10 comes a live and it can pick up things almost as far as the 15" MXT Max Coil.

hope that helps.
