:detecting: I am thinking about getting a 4x6 eclipse dd shooter coil and was wandering if that would give me more depth than my 9 1/2 inch coil that came with my unit....I know its helps at trashy areas...but based on a coin sized object..could I get more depth...any input is welcome..thanks

The smaller coil will do a little better in dense trash, but that's it.

The advantage of a DD coil is seperation, not depth. It is possable to get a little more depth in high trash or high mineralized soil because of the knife edge signal vs. a conical or cone signal but nothing major. I prefer the 6X10 over the stock in my -94 soil but the depth is about the same. The 4X6 excels in very trashy areas where you want to hear what's in between the trash signals.
