I guess the word "crude" is what sums up the Liberty best. The Classic is a good detector but I am not going to miss it. I was hoping for performance somewhat like the older Eagle II out of the Liberty, oh well we will see.Larry (IL) said:That was my first serious detector back in the 80's and did a great job at the time. Not to hijack this thread but tried out the Liberty Di tonight, had 10 minutes before it got dark. Very first hit was a ring with a pink stone, then got a penny a nickle and a dime. All coins were at least 6- 7 inches deep (the dime was a 1959). The detector is not "modern" by any means but worked real well, more than happy w/depth and target id accuracy.
