Whites most popular/top seller detector?

jlw

New member
Does anyone know witch detector has been the most popular to date in the Whites line?

Years ago I remember reading somewhere that the 6DB had that honor but I believe the MXT is now the most popular model in the White's line.

Some of the older Whites were popular for sure but my guess would be the XLT, been made for quite awhile now and they're everywhere.....
Greg

Don't know - but my guess would be xlt also - they were very popular for a long time.

Nope Your all wrong,Sorry but if you open a issue of LT and look at the Whites add it says the DFX is their all time best seller.

Wow, that sure surprised me, I would have never guessed and I'm a long time DFX guy.

Are you sure that the one I have coming in the UPS truck today isn't their most popular detector . I honestly do have one of these on its way to me. Steve.

P.S. You'all can quite laughing at me now :crylol:

The Liberty Di on the left isn't the one I am getting and apologize to who ever it is that I "borrowed" the picture from.

That was my first serious detector back in the 80's and did a great job at the time. You will find it heavy, awkward and the meter hard to read but it got the job done. No competition for the newer models though and I bet you will wish you had your Classic back.......

I guess the word "crude" is what sums up the Liberty best. The Classic is a good detector but I am not going to miss it. I was hoping for performance somewhat like the older Eagle II out of the Liberty, oh well we will see.

All you have to do is read Whites add in Lost Treasure. Whites says its the DFX. But i still like my MXT.

Not to hijack this thread but tried out the Liberty Di tonight, had 10 minutes before it got dark. Very first hit was a ring with a pink stone, then got a penny a nickle and a dime. All coins were at least 6- 7 inches deep (the dime was a 1959). The detector is not "modern" by any means but worked real well, more than happy w/depth and target id accuracy. Steve.

I'm glad you like it Steve, it served me well for several years before moving up to the Eagle series.

Lol.........that Liberty looks remarkably like the F series from Fisher..........Tesoro's......etc.......in the control head.

I would thinkit would have to be the XLT. They have been making them since 1993 or 1994. They were discontinued this year.....Jack

The DFX? Loved mine, but locally, the MXT hammered out more sales by a huge margin. (From what I seen.) In the end....couldn't pry that DFX from me though and the learning of that machine, made the learning of the V3i, much, much easier. Huh?
