White's M6

Can anyone shed light on the White's M6 and wet sand on salt beaches? I think it's time to try a new detector and this caught my eye.
Thanks

My husband has the M6 and loves it. The stock coil does not do well in wet or damp salt/sand. BUT the larger eclipse coils perform excellent on this machine. It is a very good machine and with the DD exclipse coil, it will go deeper and be more stable than the stock coil.

I'm an M6 user and agree with the comments. It seems if your going to hunt a beach, a pi or beach machine would be better. I hunted in Kauai this summer and it did fine. I use the DD1400. I put one of those 1 dollar whites stickers over the speaker. Also took off the coil cover. But I stayed out of the water. You just have to be alot more careful with a land detector, salt spray sand etc. Personally I looked at a beach detector. Therel's plenty of used ones on the forum. HH

Thanks. I have two beach detectors. A Sovereign Elete and CZ-20 but looking for one sensitive in the dry sand and then walk to the wet sand and still works fine. Guess I should have kept my CZ 3D. If the M6 is the same as the MXT then I know how it works. I have owned two MXT and loved both. The soverign is great on dry sand too but thinking of a machine not as heavy and dightal read out built on. Again thanks.
