I finally got out for about 45 mins today near a home site with the M6 to use it for the first time. I didn't find anything but a couple pieces of trash but did not know what to expect at the area I was in but was really hoping to find at least a coin or two. I have a problem though when I was trying to recover some targets with my Garrett Pro Pointer. When I would switch it on it would cause a lot of static and noise through the detector and headphones. Normally I can slightly hear the pro pointer go off but not with all the noise going on. I would switch it off and then the detector would go silent once again. I tried to call Whites but couldn't get in touch with anyone so I am posting here as well. Is this normal for the M6? Is there a fix to stop this at all? I tried setting the machine as far away as headphones would allow but I still got the annoying noise so that is not a fix. Besides going with a different pin pointer, a sun ray probe or a different detector, is there something I can do? Thank you.
