Whites is about to loose a customer

I don't know if this is the same forum as the one at Whites, But I am really getting tired of 1. the forum moderators and 2. there kind of pompous attitudes, thinking they are just so Superior than any other company's. WRONG!!!!!!! You can't even ask questions wanting someone to give you advice about one of Whites machines and a competitors. without getting your post taken down.I asked if they where coming out with a machine compared to another brands and you would have thought I was a company spy asking for secrets or something. I own two of there machines but when the day comes when I can get a better machine I think another company will be getting my money.I have watched a ton of videos on other machines and Whites just looses me with all there technical jargon and you have to be a collage electronics major to figure out how to operate there high dollar machines.
 
Your are not kidding. And you are not the first person that I have heard that from. I had asked a question about a coil and performace if it was not V rated how it would work on the V3i and they deleted it along with another one. I think I'm done with that board. Not whites, but that board anyway.............;o)
 
So let me get this straight. Your beef isn't with whites machines it's with the moderators not answering your questions? Whites make some of the best detectors on the market and their customer service is second to none.
Just take the time and learn the machine and you can't go wrong.
 
Sounds like you tried and got your answer. Maybe call Whites and ask them if you can discuss your questions with one of their technical engineers regarding a non v rated coil etc... or someone there with specialty training in sales that can answer your questions. I don't think one should get discouraged but find an alternative way to get what you want. Do not give up.
 
I was just echoing what the first poster said about thier message board. Whites has always treated me great. I think their custome service is the best around. I just dont care for the message board how you can not even post a question about coil compatibilty and you get your post deleted. I will go to other sources from now on if I have questions. You would think the manufacturers board would be the first place to check. I should have came to this forum first....;o)
 
If you are talking about this forum, It is not Whites. They just have a place you can talk about Whites detectors. I have been email at home, and told that i couldn't,t post things. It is not Whites It is this forums rules. Whites is one of the best, just call them or email them and they will tell you anything you need to know. Good Luck Flintstone
 
I think there is a compliment in there somewhere for us, (Find's Forums) :biggrin: we are not the the same forum.
 
Why not just use the Findmall V3i forum that Larry and I mod. The Whites forum you are talking about is strictly a Whites forum paid for by Whites. It's a special situation.
 
Not all forums are perfect. Every single one has it's own small issues, but the combined knowledge available to us is priceless, and that means from every forum. People who have been using machines since before I was born have my respect.
 
"Don't cut off your nose to spite your face"........don't offload a White's machine because of that experience !

The "other" forum is very regimented but once you know the rules then it is okay and a wealth of knowledge can be gleaned.

They do run a tight ship for sure but they are very consistent with how they apply the forum rules.

I made posts that went against the forum rules which were politely removed and they explained why.

Jeesh. I know you probably can't publcally broadcast what forum your refering to
but I hope I never come across it. Whites has always done me right and has good
customer service, so don't stop buying their detectors.

I'm sure he is talking about White's own forum, owned and managed by White's for White's products. They are not interested in talking about other manufactures products which is understandable.
 
[size=large]it's my understanding that even on this forum, Find's, you need to go to the correct forum to compare differant machines. when asking for a comparison one does need to be sure how it's worded. i've seen some get moved from on forum to another on this web-site.

That is true, we do allow brand comparisons but not on a brand specific forum. You will have to do it on a neutral forum like the Metal Detecting forum.
 
That's sounds fare enough.
Does that apply to discussing companies in Europe
who make specialized coils? I mentioned a few times
and the name had been edited out replaced with
$#%$@%^$. Can it be mentioned on the Metal
Detecting forum?
