Whites IDX

Hello. I'm new to this forum but not new to detecting. I have several detectors and hunt mostly in Virgina. I was wondering if anyone has experimented with or has rigged a backlight of sorts on their IDX. Also if anyone has tried doing a "depth circuit" during the pinpoint mode. Just a question and any answer would be awesome. Peter

Backlight, do a search with the keyword.
It seems to me some use led lights and stick them on front.
On the depth circuit, you probably won't get much input.
There is a website where all the techs hang out and you might want to
try that one, geotech.

You can draw power of the board for the I'd I think there may be a 5 volt source (as opposed to 8v) you could use some LED's a resistor and a switch. Mount the switch on the face of the ID. Thats how I would do it. I don't know about a booswt for the trigger but you can do some crazy stuff with altering the audio tone,
