Whites IDX PRo and my Classic SL IDX

Winter is here in New Hampshire, however not much snow on the ground....due to el nino ? Seems like Midwest and the south got hit hard early this seaso, hope everybody here made it thru alright.
So I got a idx pro and classic idx. Two are like twins minus a few difference. Decals are the first obvious one to start. Then the upper shaft of the classic idx is longer then the pro, you can see it in the picture. The biggest change on the two in my eyes is the Tone. The IDX PRO has a higher tone frequency. The classic idx has a smother lower tone that I like better. However with an old ad I saw they clame the IDX PRO is 30% deeper. Either way They both rock. I did oen a vx3 that was such a cool detector. ...color screen and multi freq bars was very cool. I feel like these older machines rock just as good !

"Either way They both rock." You're only saying that because it's true!:clapping: Both are great detectors in the trashy iron infested sites, and the not so trashy sites also.

I have owned both also, and yes they will keep up with the big boy still, they both find the goods

You won't hear ME ever bashing the ol' IDX line. Is either one modified?

I had a modified Classic IDX and loved it. It shared coils with my XL Pro and was the perfect compliment to it, the IDX being for more "target rich" areas (trashy!). Loved the manual ground balance and makes we wish every White's machine had a straightforward manual ground balance like a modified IDX. And the 6.59 kHz frequency is killer for coins.

Still kicking myself for having sold it (but thank goodness I still have my XL Pro).
