Found a few 45-70 bullets today looks like there OLD 1870-1880s and a 3rd of a horse shoe 8+ inches down everyone of them WHITES DONE IT AGAIN..:clapping::usaflag:

model, search coil used, settings and general location did you hunt? Don't mark an 'X' on a specific site, just a little info of the type of ground and mineralization.

The photos are good, but they don't explain the details of how you succeeded. I hope your ventures afield continue to be rewarding.

During the period from '83 thru about '95 my old bullet, casing and complete cartridge counts from several of my favorite old town sites in Utah and Nevada were aplenty with .45-70 as well as a lot of Henry cartridges and others. Frequently patches of old military buttons, too, and seeing posts like yours sure brings back memories of hunting those sites that dated from about 1868 until the mid-1890's for most of them.
