You were correct whites suspended the sales of the sport. That came from the whites public relation guy who emailed me so I know its true.

Given the situation, it's probably the best thing to do. They need to get a handle on things. Continueing to sell questionable units and have them sent back isn't a good thing in terms of customer relations, or bottom line company costs.

Hopefully, they will get it straightened out sooner than later.

I still think it has the making of a good machine in terms of features and ability. It's too bad the testing prior to release wasn't more thorough!

I'm guessing the thread about "MX Sport feedback" was the basis of the reply, as it was mentioned there?

Yes , it's true as I confirmed it myself ... those being sold now are not being recalled but possibly will be when the issues are corrected . No all are effected with the problems and Whites engineers are working on the problems . And even though I was asked by Whites not to spread the word to all seeing that the cats out of the bag ... here's my reply from Whites .

Due to an issue with a minority % of apparently random cracks in the edge of the clear part of the MX Sport housing, White’s has temporarily stopped selling MX Sports models.

The science tells us the most likely cause is the “0” ring is too robust (stiff durometer). However, that must be verified and a new “0” ring tested. We do have 100’s in testing now in our rapid aging process. We must assure that it doesn’t crack over years, not months.

We do expect to have this issue resolved and return to world-wide sales quickly.

We would appreciate you not making this into a larger issue than it already is… as the MX Sport continuous to do very well in the field despite some users software preferences / issues. Thus far, we are seeing less than 10% of MX Sport owners returning their units for anything, a clear sign MX Sport issues are not as serious as one would believe reading the forums. However, White’s seeks and strives to resolve all issues.

With great effort, one can please some of the people some of the time. On the other hand… one can easily upset all the people all the time!

Rest assured, White’s will correct any and all issues with the MX Sport under warranty, as quickly as we can assure accurate, long term results.

Sincerely

Steve Howard

Sounds like when the new "O" ring is tested and proved all will be resolved on the new run of MX Sports . Then those now registered MX Sport owners might get a recall letter to make sure theirs will stand the test of time ....................................................................................................................Woodstock

Got firmware update, haven't seen cracked screen yet on my sport. If it appears I have a brand new mxt to use

,Well I know they are going flat out on this issue so no need to panic, and things will get back to normal soon,

There is little to no info, how's the problems among other things the o-ring how long does it take, when start the production back up, why these questions the problem is also in Holland and we have to wait until the problem is solved and a new shipment here comes this shipping takes for weeks. But don't want to wait weeks unless we customers well informed of the problems. I hope for understanding my concerns
