Just wanted to thank everyone at White's for speedy customer service. My Vision and my new 5.3 coil that had been working great for me and finding some deep stuff all of a sudden would not work properly. As I turned the gain up the depth went down until it was nulling on a good target. They exchanged the detector with a new one which was great since mine was one of the first ones with no updates.
Turns out that the detector was fine but the coils had just gone out of balance. I exchanged the detector and coil at two different times so I could try the old coil on the new machine and it still did not work right. new coils and new detector and it works great. Just wanted to thank White's for the best customer service in the industry. It has been too hot for me but can't wait to get back out with the V3 and learn some more about the detector. I was digging minnie balls up to 14" measured, really small brass, percussion caps, etc. in some really hard almost hunted out spots.
Just a note, we have really good ground here so I can crank boost on, gain to 15, and disc. sens between 88 and 92. I hope to make the diggin in VA hunt this fall so I need some help on running the V3 in bad ground. Any help with that appreciated
