Just into metal detecting after 26 years or so. Sister wants to buy a used whites GMT for $400.00 from someone. She and husband are new earth diggers. They live in Alaska. Is this a good price? Does Alaska have high mineral content? Will this detector dicriminate? If anyone cwn help, thanks so much. Majormatt

Hi Matt, If you are just hunt for gold the GMT is very good, but if you want to hunt for coins and gold get a MXT. The MXT is one of the best gold and coins detector that is mad, " I THANK". It was the top gold getter at Crow Creek AK. for many years. You can get a MXT for about the same price i thank. Good Luck Flintstone
