Executive Summary:

I think they're trying to say wouldn't it be great if you could design a Single Frequency detector that covered multiple frequencies with none of the compromises of a Multiple Frequency. Hmmmmm? Is a White's-Terra in the works???

Question 20:

It seems specialized detectorists feel frequency/khz is very important now. Is 13khz great for all-around hunting, & why don

Perhaps....W-Terrra-007:rofl: Boy is it gona be a long and cold winter. Counting on you Bill to keep us supplied with new reading material until spring.

I agree... Whites make some VERY GOOD detectors. And their supporters are usually very vocal. Everyone I speak to who uses a Whites has always spoken very highly of their detectors. I don't wish to open old wounds but I seem to remember that Whites and Minelab had a face-off some years ago after Whites allegedly violated one of Minelab's Patents. A few people have said that this was all in the past. Others say that the Minelab Patent was later turned out for a fee. Whatever the truth behind the story is, I don't know. Does anyone else here have more information?

You can be rest assured they are working on something special. The Whites TDI is proving itself to be a very good machine and if this is what the future holds then metal detecting has a very bright road ahead indeed. With so many companies fighting for top dog we the customer can only prosper from it. 2009 is going to be an interesting year and I'm looking forward to seeing some new machines and some new ideas. Thanks for the post Bill.
Cheers!
