Whites eagle

Good afternoon, I would appreiciate any information on the eagle series, was there , the sl and the spectrum or more? Also please compare the two, which coils interchange, and lastly any user comments will be greatly appreiciated.

Sorry to pop your bubble. Without knowing something about you and where your coming from JR...can't help you too much. Do your homework and you'll find all the 'pieces' to the puzzle by doing a search on the thread.

Your Question is an EXTREMELY Broad one and it involved models that have been discontinued up to 20 YEARS ago!!!! I noticed nobody has spent the time to even begin to answer it. So I'll start it by stating....

The Eagles appeared in 1987 and were White's first digital detector that could be upgraded and many of the units sold contain the upgrade.
They operate at 6.59 kHz and were leaders in professional performing detectors @ that time.

Now, any questions about my first car; The 1960 Plymouth Valiant, the Original Road Toad? Or..... comments about the newer 2007 Chrysler Motors Hemi Police Package?

Thank you very much, au4greg, yea, chrysler sure has come a long way. Would you have any info, on those upgrades, {what they were} and also is there a method of determining if a specific machine has it? Also does it excel or fail in any areas? Yes, I realize its an older design, is it an oldie, but a goodie, or just an oldie. Thank you very much, I appreiciate it.

Often a vague question on a form comes from someone fishing the 'bay.

White's introduced the Eagle in 1987, It came standard with the white 8" coil used at the time. It was their first LCD offering, and they made some changes very soon after it was released.

The Eagle II had the following additional features: Presets, S.A.T., individually adjusted Threshold and Volume over a broader range, three (3) Audio Frequencies, independent AC & DC Sensitivity adjustment with greater range of adjustment, an expanded Discrimination range, an extended AutoTrac

Good morning, Monte, first off, thank you very much for your reply, yes, I'm a rookie, and yes, this is a possible purchace from a friend. I believe it is a eagle 11 sl,[its black]. I'll see it today, and post specific model information, thank you very much jr

jr, I have a Eagle ll sl, made in 1987, still works very well, I also have a MXT, that i love. But if i want to go after old deep silver coins i use the Eagle, it will go get it. needs to be sweep fast for deep coins. the Eagle was one of Whites best at that time. I know the newer detctors are better but don,t let this Eagle get away if you can get a good deal. Good luck Flintstone

Good afternoon,DeanStone, thank you very much, your are the second one to confirm this machine as a good coin hunter, thank you again. jr

I'd put my old Eagle II Road Toad up against any of the new Hemis out today. I have two of the sl 90's and wouldn't be without one. Get a 6" coil to go along with the stock coil. They are great in trash and will go about as deep as you want to dig. No matter what detector you get the trick is to learn what the machine is telling you.

Good Luck.

Good evening, CurtB, thank you for your reply, yea, in reading the manual, there is a learning curve to overcome, but this does not discourage me. Thank you very much for your encouragement, I appreiciate it very much. jr
