Whites Eagle II sl

For the last month and half I have been on the hunt for one of these machines so I have been looking and also following e-bay.
Well I saw one for $249.00 WITH 2 MINUTES LEFT AND NO BIDS. Well I got it and when it arrived I could not believe the
condition of this machine. It is Pristine and seems to work 100% in all modes and it seems like it has a mixed audio
rather than tones but I have never used this type of machine but am dying to run her.I know I have a lot to learn about this
machine. I cleaned and waxed this Beauty and she gleams and I don't think this machine was used but One time because
when I took the coil cover off a faint sprinkle of dust was in there that you could hardly see. The coil cover is spotless also.
I am happy with this deal and It's time to get her doing what she was made to do. "Treasure Hunt".....
How do I know if my machine is a 90 sl or a 90.5 sl? Also what would the differences be? Thanks for any input!!!

Congratulations on your win! I saw that same detector and seriously wanted to bid on it myself. I just couldn't justify purchasing one to myself since I already have an XLT and DFX.
I've never even held one of those, but I have heard really great things about them. The surest, quickest way to get an answer to your questions would be to call direct to the factory at 1-541-367-6121
give them your serial number and they'll be able to tell you the date of manufacture, along with the rest of the information you want.

Hi Silverseeker, The Eagle 11 sl is one of the best detector you will ever own. I had a 1989 modal that i have been up past my elbow digging targets and that is no lye. I sold my 89 to get a new MXT, now the MXT is a very good detector but not like the Eagles. I went on the hunt and found a 1990 modal, and it is good but not like my 89. I will never let this one go. It dose take some time to get it down, but you have a detector that not even the V3i can out do. I hope you enjoy your detector as much as i do mine for it is a keeper. Flintstone

I don't remember for sure but I had the 90.5 and I think the difference was that the SL 90 had 3 factory programs and the 90.5 had 5 factory programs.

Wow SS2 WTG on the Eagle II SL 90 / .5 ????? $249 Cool, Mickfin

Hope this is still alive, but back in May of 2013 I was fortunate enough to visit my local Salvation Army on the very day someone donated both an Eagle 2 SL black box type and a Bounty Hunter Discovery 2200. To my delight once I built a viable power pack to replace the dead rechargeable in the Eagle it started like a charm. Not sure when it was purchased at KellyCo but its in perfect condition as is the BH. You would never guess that I got the pair for $35. Just now orders the C-Cell holder directly from Whites since my second home built battery pack is a bit finicky. I would love to know how the Eagle behaves for you. Sadly the Eagle only had the stock 950 coil and machine of course but no secondary coil that I think they came with originally, nor the charger, though it wouldve proved useless.

Im unfamiliar still and would love some advice if anyone would mind sharing.

89 model does not have slot to save custom programs
90.5 has U1 and U2 slots to save your own program (U = user)
Excellent buy .

Guess mine is 90.5 then, for what I have used it, its a great machine, love the sound modes, especially the Geiger counter sound mode, its a good proximity format.
