White's E-Series

Here's a quote from Whites when I approached them before buying my new one from them...

There are only cosmetic differences (decals and paint) between late model
White's Spectrum XLT detectors.

Typically the E-series (added in 2003) are a little newer.

The "E" series also has a little faster Processer. When you scroll through the menue on the older Spectrum you will notice very slight processer response delays from one item to the next. The "E" series SignaGraph Screen is a bit tougher and less prone to problems. Some users swear the earlier Spectrum was a smoother running machine. For the difference in price of a good used older model or new "E" Series, I think the good used would be the better buy if you can find one. Anouther thing to consider, with some of the Factory sponsered promotions you could make up that price difference real fast in free accessories. Do your home work and you will do fine.
