Whites Dual pi pro settings

Hi !
Ive been using the minelab se for a few years , and lately I bought the whites dual pi. Does anyone have any settings for this detector ?
Ive noticed that its quite noisy is that normal ?

Thanks,

Nicola

Gain at 12 o'clock, Pulse 6:30 threshold-11 o'clock (if you like the sound of the pulse put it higher but you'll lose the deep targets). be prepared to dig deep holes. bobby pins , drive you crazy! nails are a double tone- usually .If you hear a very low tone, those are the deep targets. back to the double tones-sometimes it might be a chain, so you have to dig everything..

Hi Marbien,
thank you very much for your tip, I was late in responding as I was out of the country ! The GAIN is clear to me that I have to put the arrow on 12 o'clock , but what about pulse and the other button where do i put that ? If it's ok with you I will send you a pick of the control box and maybe you can show me .
If you ever need any minelab SE programes I have some good ones !
Thanks,
Nicola

Getting to know a PI machine will take a while, you might get more help on the PI Technology forum: http://www.findmall.com/list.php?34

Try to look at a clock that has hands ....Gain at 12 o'clock, Pulse 6:30... Threshold-11 o'clock ... pulse is just one click over

I run the Dual Field in my modest opinion it's a great machine! Get Clives books on the pulse units ( a must read ) I'll give some good settings for a beginner # 1 gain 10 O'clock #2 Delay pointing right at the off on the gain dial right around 7 O'clock #3 The threshold turn it to where you can just hear it hum (it should be smooth ) then back it down ever so slightly. This will help you learn it faster by being able to identify targets easier non-ferrous from ferrous and the weaker conductors will sound weaker also! Hope this helps...
