Whites Dual Coil PI...

Craig-PI

New member
Well.... I got my new DC PI over the weekend I have taken it out twice now... I run the gain, hot the pulse delay on the factory setting and run the threshold at the edge of sound (quiet)

My first impressions of it is its very stable in shallow water there is no noise going from water to wet sand and waves going over the coil do not make any sound... yesterday I was finding very deep quarters and dimes (not shown) today I took it to my favorite beach and there were less targets but better targets... I love the extra large coil.. is it deeper than my PI PRO? I can't say yet... I'll know more as I use it more.. deepest find today was an an aluminum screw top that was well over 18 inches down it was a whisper signal in the wet sand.... Pinpointing is awesome and right on... both rings were no more than a foot down and they both rang out loud and clear... I've only used the detector for 4 hours so I need more time with it... the earrings both are 925... One added note... bottlecaps on my PI PRO sound great on the DC they sound like iron a wide wow type sound.. I'll still dig them though ;) I acid tested the ring on the left and it holds at 18k but someone took a file to it and enlarged the hole so I'm going to take it to a jeweler to see what its made out of...

A friend PMed me about the new Dual Coil and I think its a little deeper than my PI PRO but the thing I like best about it, is the big coil... I swing fast thats why I don't have my Excalibur anymore it was a good detector it just didn't fit my hunting style ;) and now I have a big coil so I can cover more ground even faster... any depth increase is a plus in my book... I really need to work it more than just 3 times but so far it looks good :)
