White's coinmaster

Just bought a basic White's Coinmaster as a backup to my Minelab Xterra 705. Wanted an inexpensive turn on and go machine that still was a quality machine. After the first run through my test garden, must say it impressed for an intro. machine.

That's cool Gambler. I have a buddy that has a slightly used Fisher F4 for sale. I bet I could have got you a good price on it. Oh well.

The Coinmaster is a nice machine . My hunting buddy use's one and it works very well and gets nice depth he has no problem finding good stuff . He found a half dollar coin yesterday and a dollar coin today while we were hunting and it does good on the other coins and targets also . He has found a silver standing liberty quarter and other nice coins with his . He uses the standard coil that came with it and he use's a 4x6 coil also for the trashy places . Bottom line I have hunted with him all summer and his does great its a nice detector . Congrats on your purchase .

Had to get rid of the coinmaster. Everytime you touch the coil to the ground, and I was at 3 different locations miles apart, it beeps. You can lightly bounce it up and down and everytime the coil touched the ground, it went off. This was with no discrimination. Took it back to the dealer, he tried a different coil and then the display model and they did the same thing. So when you put it in PP, if you touched the ground while pinpointing, it would sound off. Traded it towards a M6. Hopefully being a pricier machine with more features, it will be a good machine.

I am willing to bet that the factory set ground balance on the CoinMaster was too positive for your soil, not sure if there is a way to get to the internal ground balance pot. to adjust it. You will be able to adjust the ground balance on the M6 so that should take care of that problem. Steve.
